How do you charge?+

Do I need to be on site?+
Not necessarily. As long as we have safe access to the waste, we can collect without you being there. Just let us know when booking.

How quickly can you collect?+
Most London and Southeast bookings are collected within 1–3 working days. Same-day and next-day slots are available on request.
Do you collect outside business hours?+
Yes — we run early-morning, evening and weekend slots across London and the Southeast. Tell us your window when booking.
Do you collect from upper floors?+
Yes. Let us know the floor and access details (lift size, parking) so we send the right crew and vehicle.
Do I need to move anything outside?+
No. Our two-person crew loads from inside the property — garage, loft, garden, upstairs, anywhere.
How much can you take in one go?+
From a few bags up to a full lorry load. If you've got more, we'll bring multiple vehicles or come back the next day.
Do you sweep up afterwards?+
Yes — we leave the area as tidy as we found it.
What we take
Do you take plasterboard?+
Yes — please keep plasterboard separate from other waste so we can recycle it correctly.
Will you take fridges and mattresses?+
Yes — including WEEE-regulated items like fridges and freezers. They're handled at properly licensed facilities.
Can you take confidential paper?+
We can clear bulk confidential paper for shredding — please flag it when you book so we route it correctly.
Can you donate reusable items?+
Where items are in good condition we route them to local reuse partners and charities wherever possible.
What materials can't go in a grab lorry?+
Grab lorries are for inert materials only — no plasterboard, plastics, timber or general waste mixed in. We can arrange a separate collection for those.
Grab lorry & site work
How much can a grab lorry carry?+
Our 8-wheel grab loaders typically carry up to 16 tonnes of inert material per load.
Can the grab reach over a wall?+
Yes — the hydraulic arm extends around 6 metres, so we can reach across pavements, walls and awkward driveways.
Do you need a permit?+
If the lorry is loading from the public highway you may need a parking suspension. We'll advise when you book.

Are you a licensed waste carrier?+
Yes — DavWaste is fully licensed by the Environment Agency. Every collection is covered by a waste transfer note for your records.
Will I get a waste transfer note?+
Yes. We issue a digital waste transfer note for every collection, which you should keep for at least two years (or three years for hazardous waste).
Where does the waste go?+
Everything we collect is taken to licensed transfer stations and recycling facilities. We aim to divert as much as possible from landfill.
